El Nido Travel Itinerary

Of all the places I’ve been to, El Nido tops all in terms of beauty. In fact as I look out my bedroom window I can easily picture in my mind the islands I went to and my views from the boat that brought us from one island to the next. A day isn’t enough to tour all the beautiful islands in this place.

The itinerary below is based on a trip that starts from Puerto Princesa, as plane tickets direct to El Nido are way beyond our budget. So if you’re going to El Nido via Puerto Princesa for a four-day three-night trip, you need this systematic flow so that you can maximize the time you have. This is based on a travel tour package that we availed of. I’m guessing packaged tours are organized in the most efficient way.

Day 1: Manila to Puerto Princesa

9:30 AM: Arrive at Puerto Princesa. (Naturally, we all met up at the airport at around 6:00 AM, bedhead and all.)

10:00 AM: Travel to El Nido aboard the tour company’s van (where we just mostly slept)

12:00 AM: Stop over for lunch

5:00 PM: Arrive at El Nido; check-in; meet tour company’s representative to discuss the island-hopping activity for the next day

5:30 PM: afternoon coffee; stroll around the resort and the beach (one of my favorite parts of the trip)

7:00 PM: Dinner at a nearby French restaurant

9:00 PM: Chit-chats and hot showers before going to sleep

Day 2: Island Hopping

9:00 AM: Hop on the boat to start island hopping

10:00 AM: Snake Island (Make sure to climb he top of the viewing site to see the Snake Island’s well, snake-like shape)

12:00 NN: lunch on the beach (Our tour company prepared grilled fish, chicken and pork, and some veggies with, of course, steamed rice.)

2:00 PM: Cudugnon Cave, Pinagbuyutan Island

4:00 PM: Travel back to the resort

5:30 PM: afternoon coffee; backup travel photos in laptop (a must in all my travels)

7:00 PM: Dinner at a nearby bar/restaurant

9:00 PM: Chit-chats and hot showers before going to sleep

5:30 PM: Prepare for check-out

6:00 PM: Check out; leave for Puerto Princesa
